In German, AHK stands for Auslandshandelskammern, meaning the Foreign Chambers of Commerce. Since its founding in 2002, AHK Romania has been part of the German Foreign Chambers of Commerce network.

The AHK Romania represents more than 550 member companies employing 235,000 people and operating in more than 150 industries. In addition, this chamber is represented in more than 92 countries.

This chamber develops economic relations between Germany and Romania, connecting businesses from both countries. To successfully and sustainably establish and expand business in both markets, they provide professional support for companies from both countries. As part of its mission, the chamber strives to establish long-lasting business relationships among its members. Furthermore, they seek to represent local German companies.

In addition to enhancing bilateral economic relations, they seek to improve the economic framework conditions in Romania through a competitive and sustainable economy.
