3 Event-Highlights within 30 days

June 14, 2021

The last few days were informative, interesting, and at the same time challenging: Think RE participated at the CLIMATE TRANSFORMATION Summit, hosted a webinar on Power Purchase Agreements and held its first workshop in cooperation with the IHK zu Leipzig. During each event highly fruitful discussions emerged, in which best practices, challenges and experiences in decarbonizing the economy were identified.

Over 600 participants at CLIMATE TRANSFORMATION Summit

As an exhibitor at the virtual CLIMATE TRANSFORMATION Summit 2021, the Think RE team presented the PPA Impact Analysis tool as an opportunity for companies to receive country-specific power price forecasts and PPA cost-saving potential on their way to become carbon-free. During interactive panels and fireside chats along the topic “From climate goals to implementation!” over 600 participants, 50 experts from practice and 50 solution providers shared their know-how for climate-relevant economic activities along the seven impact categories - energy, buildings, production, mobility, food, digital and environment – in this highly innovative conference format.

PPA Webinar focused on basics and fundamentals

The bankability issue of PPAs is more relevant than ever because the off-taker's rating determines whether a bank provides project finance. With his outstanding presentation Dr. Hundt clarified important questions, deepened background information and cleared up ambiguities during his session and the Q&A at the end of the webinar.

First successful workshop in cooperation with IHK Leipzig

On the 8th of July, we also held our first workshop in cooperation with the IHK zu Leipzig about Climate Balance. During the event, Think RE presented the prerequisites for companies to become carbon neutral. Attendees got a profound understanding of Scope 2 emissions and the tools helping to quantify them. Furthermore, this webinar shed light on various measures to achieve climate neutrality, with regards to the new EU-Taxonomy directive, which imposes new requirements on several industry sectors. Think RE will continue to partner with IHK and a variety of renewable energy experts for live discussions, webinars, and Q&As.
